Yashvi Translation Pricing Policy

Yashvi Translation Pricing Policy

At Yashvi Translation, we are committed to providing transparent, fair, and competitive pricing for our high-quality translation and localization services. Our pricing structure is designed to reflect the complexity, specialization, and resources required for each unique project, ensuring you receive excellent value.

We utilize a combination of pricing models to best suit the nature of your content and service requirements.

Our Pricing Models

Per-Page Rate (Most Common for Text-Based Translation)
This is our primary pricing model for many common document types, particularly official and standard texts.

  • Reference: This model is ideal for documents with a predictable structure, consistent formatting, and standard content where the volume can be reliably estimated per page.

    Details:

Official Documents: This model is predominantly used for certified translations of official documents such as:

    • Birth Certificates
    • Marriage Certificates
    • Educational Degrees & Transcripts
    • Legal Affidavits
    • Passports & Visas
    • Other standard government-issued documents.

A “standard page” for these documents is generally defined as up to 250 words. Documents exceeding this word count per page may be subject to adjustment or moved to a per-word rate where appropriate.

  • Scanned/Non-Editable Documents: If a document is scanned, an image, or otherwise non-editable (e.g., hard copies), it requires additional effort for optical character recognition (OCR) or manual data entry before translation. A surcharge may be applied to the standard per-page rate to account for this extra labor.
  • Pricing Example: For Hindi to English Birth Certificate translation: INR 1000/- per standard page (up to 250 words).
  • Per-Word Rate (Less Common for Text-Based Translation)
While our per-page rate covers many standard documents, the per-word rate is applied for more extensive, complex, or highly specialized textual content.
  • Reference: This is the industry standard for most general document, marketing, technical, and content translation where granular control over cost based on content volume is essential.

Details for Cost Analysis:

  • Source Word Count: Pricing is primarily based on the exact number of words in the original (source) document. This provides maximum transparency and allows for precise cost estimation.
  • Language Pair: Rates vary significantly based on the language combination. Languages with higher demand, fewer available qualified linguists, or more complex linguistic structures will incur higher per-word rates.
  • Volume Discounts: For larger projects exceeding [e.g., 5,000 or 10,000] words, we offer tiered volume discounts. These discounts are applied automatically to the total word count.
  • Minimum Fees: To cover administrative and project management overheads, a minimum project fee of INR 500/- will be applied to all per-word translation projects under [e.g., 500] words.

Fixed Project Rate

This model is suitable for projects with a clearly defined scope, requiring a bundled approach to services.

Reference: Ideal for comprehensive projects where the overall deliverables and effort can be accurately assessed beforehand.

Details:

  • Website Localization: A single, all-inclusive quote provided after a thorough analysis of the website’s content, structure, and technical requirements. This may include translation, cultural adaptation, and potentially DTP or testing.
  • Software Localization: Similar to website localization, a fixed rate will be quoted for localizing user interfaces, help files, and related documentation.
  • Marketing Campaigns: For integrated marketing efforts, a fixed rate may cover translation, transcreation, DTP, and other related services for a defined campaign.
  • Small, Defined Projects: Any project where the scope is entirely predictable, irrespective of word or page count, may be quoted at a fixed rate.

Per-Minute Rate (for Audiovisual Content)
This model is specifically designed for multimedia localization services.

Reference:  Applied to transcription, subtitling, voiceover, and dubbing services.

Details:

  • Subtitling: Charged per minute of video content. Additional fees may apply for creating captions from scratch, time-coding, or complex formatting.
  • Voiceover/Dubbing: Charged per minute of audio. Rates are influenced by the choice of voice talent (e.g., professional voice actors, native narrators), studio time, and audio mixing requirements.
  • Transcription: Charged per minute of audio for converting spoken content into written text.

Factors Influencing Pricing

The final price for your project will be determined by a combination of the chosen pricing model and the following key factors:

  1. Language Pair: The combination of source and target languages significantly impacts the rate. Rarer language pairs (e.g., English to Icelandic) or those with limited professional linguist availability will generally have higher rates than common pairs (e.g., English to Hindi, English to Spanish).
  2. Subject Matter/Specialization:

General Translation: For content requiring no specialized industry knowledge (e.g., general correspondence, simple articles), our rates are at the standard level.

Specialized Translation: Content requiring expertise in fields such as Legal, Medical, Technical, Financial, Scientific, IT, or highly creative content (e.g., marketing, literary) will incur higher rates due to the need for specialist linguists with specific domain knowledge and terminology.

Transcreation: This goes beyond direct translation to adapt content culturally and creatively for maximum impact in the target market. Transcreation projects involve a higher level of creative input and are priced accordingly.

  1. Urgency/Turnaround Time (TAT):
  2. Standard TAT: Projects delivered within our regular timeframe incur no additional charges.
  3. Rush/Express Service: For projects requiring expedited delivery outside of standard business hours or with very tight deadlines, a surcharge of 25% to 50% will be applied. The exact percentage depends on the urgency and project scope.
  4. Service Level: We offer various levels of quality assurance to meet your project’s specific needs:
  5. Translation Only (TO): Translation performed by a professional linguist. Suitable for internal use or drafts.
  6. Translation + Editing (TE): Translation by one linguist, followed by a thorough review and editing by a second independent linguist. This is our recommended standard for professional quality.
  7. Translation + Editing + Proofreading (TEP): Our highest quality service, involving translation, editing, and a final linguistic proofreading of the formatted document by a third linguist to ensure perfection.

    1. File Format Complexity:
      • Editable Formats: Files provided in easily editable formats (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, XML) are processed at standard rates.
      • Non-Editable Formats: Documents in non-editable formats (e.g., scanned PDFs, images, handwritten notes, hard copies) require additional processing steps like Optical Character Recognition (OCR) or manual input, which may incur a 10% to 25% surcharge.
      • Complex Layouts/DTP: Projects requiring complex Desktop Publishing (DTP) services (e.g., design adjustments in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator for different script directions or text expansion) will be quoted separately. DTP services are typically billed at an hourly rate.

Certification/Notarization:

For official translations that require a certified translator’s seal, declaration, and/or notarization for legal or administrative purposes, additional fees will apply:

    • Notary: INR 100/- per document.
    • Formatting & Certification: INR 400/- per document.
